Continuous Localization

Repository Connection

Install the StringsOS GitHub App. Select the repositories you want to connect and map your target languages to specific file paths in your codebase.

PR-Native Previews

When translations are ready, StringsOS opens a Pull Request. Developers can preview exactly which JSON files are changing directly in GitHub.

Webhook Sync

StringsOS listens to your repository via secured webhooks. If a developer edits a localization file manually, the changes sync back to the Editor instantly.

Integration Audit

Every sync, commit, and webhook delivery is tracked. You can view sync logs to ensure changes are always properly communicated.

By mapping your locales to repository paths (e.g., `locales/es.json`), StringsOS becomes the ultimate co-pilot. When a translation branch is approved, StringsOS opens a clean, readable Pull Request. Engineers just review the code diff and hit merge.

Integration

To connect GitHub, install the official StringsOS GitHub App and grant it access to the specific repositories containing your localization files. Once connected, map your StringsOS project to the corresponding repository and define the file paths for your JSON locales (e.g., src/locales/en.json).

Workflow

After your team has completed and approved translations in StringsOS, you can push those changes directly back to your repository. StringsOS will automatically branch from your main branch, commit the updated JSON files, and open a Pull Request. Your developers can then review the diff naturally in GitHub before merging.
